Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what information DeepGrub ("we", "us") processes when you use our website and services, why we process it, and the choices you have. We designed DeepGrub to work without requiring an account, and we aim to collect only what is needed to provide recommendations.
Information we process
- Location you provide. To build recommendations, you share a location — either your device's current position (only if you grant permission in your browser) or an area you pick on the map. Location is used to run your search; we do not build movement profiles.
- Search inputs. Your budget, preferences, selected concepts, and free-text queries (including AI Search) are processed to generate results. Free-text queries may be processed by third-party AI providers to interpret your request.
- Contact form details. If you contact us, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit, and use them only to respond.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our servers process IP addresses and basic request data for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
- Usage logs. We keep aggregated logs of searches and result impressions to improve recommendation quality. These are tied to a session identifier, not to your name or email.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of strictly functional cookies. These include a random visitor identifier used to count unique visits and understand how the site is used, and security (CSRF) and sign-in tokens where applicable. The visitor identifier is a random value — it contains no name, email address or similar detail, and is never shared with third parties.
We also store a few preferences directly in your browser, such as which in-app notices you have already seen, so the same message is not shown to you repeatedly.
If analytics is enabled on our site, we ask for your permission first. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept; if you decline, no analytics is loaded at all. Analytics data is not used to identify you personally. You can change your choice at any time using the button below.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not require an account or profile to use recommendations.
- We do not use your contact form details for marketing without your consent.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run DeepGrub (such as hosting, mapping, and AI providers used to interpret free-text queries), and only to the extent necessary. These providers process data on our behalf and under their own security obligations. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. Search and impression logs are kept in aggregate form to improve the service. Cached search results expire automatically.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@deepgrub.com.
Children
DeepGrub is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
